Air Box

I have the K&N Filter and was going to cut a hole in the air box 'till I read this. Has anyone cut the restrictor plate in the fender? It would be a lot less noticeable.

I was just contemplating that today when I pulled off the boot from the box to the fenderwell following my 2# install. I think I'll do it this week after I examine more closely.
