Can someone tell me the difference between the 1999 L air box vs. the new L box? I notice that the replacement air filter # is different.

 

I was told that one has a gasket and the other doesnt. Either works on all L's

 

In 2001 the hole for the intake in the inner fender was increased in size. the 99-00 style intakes wouldn't really fight in a 2001 and the 2001 style intakes would work with a 99-00 but you would have to inlaarge the hole in the inner fender.
