If dropped right it can handle better.
If dropped improperly handling will suffer.
You can drop it and it will be close enough to stock so that you won't notice.

See link in sig for more info

Captainoblivious,

You said on the Belltech kit you can go with a 3/3 or 3/4....

If I was to buy the kit I would do the 3/3, because I don't want to C-notch the frame.

If I buy the kit, and use the the 3/3, would I decrease the chances of bottoming out?

What would you suggest?

Thanks,

I'm not positive if the belltech coils really drop the truck 3" in the front, you might want to email someone who has done the kit.

As for lowering the rear, it is possible to get aways with 4" rear and no c-notch, but your bump stops will hit the axle alot. Yes a 3" drop would decrease bottoming out more then 4". I have a 2" in the rear and mine doesn't come close to bottom out.

For the front, you will have to cut the bumpstops, I have 1" in the front and had to cut them. Actually Hotchkis provided new bumpstops but I didn't really like them.
