Blue foglights

just a little tip...
blue lights look cool and all but they are the worst for actually seeing the road. they have the shortest wave length compared to the ugly yellow type that have the longest wave length. i dont know if the same goes for the new Xenon headlights but those wolnt do you any good unless you actually have the conversion kit which i think is anywhere from 1k-3k depending on your application or they come with the car like the beamers and mercedes. but if you really dont need your fogs...which most people dont...then go for them...they look good.

Does anybody know if the filament in the 9005s is in the same location in the bulb as the stock 9145s?
These fog lamps are designed for a certain beam pattern based on the location of the filament within the light housing. Change the position and you'll change the beam pattern. Change the beam pattern and you may actually have worse lighting, even with a higher wattage bulb. This is the problem with many aftermarket HID kits used in stock headlamp housings - without the appropriate cutoff designed into the bulb, they may blind people in other cars or actually put out less useful light. -- Just a thought.
I too would like to be able to freely swap out bulbs in the fogs. I still haven't been able to find the stock 9145s at any auto parts store. Ideally I'd like to install 27 or 37watt 9005s (vs 42watt stock) until I know the lens cracking issue has been solved.
thanx.
