My "paint Guru" says don't use anything other than Nu-finish or finish 2001, both have the same ingrediants. Now I trust him very much as he is the best custom painter I know, but I'm not overly thrilled with the results. I think he is more concerned with the chemicals in the paint and how they effect the longevity. What do you guys think?

I think I'll be trying cherry this spring, hope he doesn't find out!

Whip -

On a stock clear-coat paint job I don't think you have to worry about a chemical interaction with any of the good polishes/waxes. I've used zaino and Cherry. Zaino is alot more work but you can layer one heck of a shine with enough coats. Cherry looks pretty wet with one coat but will need rewaxing much more frequently.
