Oil change

Changing the oil in the L today and I am wanting to go to a synthetic. What is the best one that I should use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mobil 1--easy to find and a good full-synythetic

Royal Purple(my favorite--see sig.)--probably have to order it(Jeg's)

Redline--my #2 favorite--order too--I use to use it in my road course Z281LE.

Amsoil--one of the best.

Castrol Syntec

Just curious, no one ever mentions Castrol Syntec. Thought this was supposed to be good oil? Comments? Thanks

Mobil 1 5w30, started on 9000 mile oil change. Every 3K. Probably overkill but it's cheap insurance.

Castrol Syntec does not use a fully synthetic base stock. Mobil 1 is better.

Thanks Frank,but

If I'm not mistaken Castrol offers, as do others, a "partial" synthetic blend? You're not refering to that are you?

Do you need a special filter w/ a full synthetic?
