A moment of Silence...
Steve Grebeck
I did not go to the orlando race because my tranny blew two days before in alabama however I have heard the same thing from friends. Nobody signed the tech waiver before racing (Pro 5.0 racers and Street Outlaw) and i also heard that the ambulance was not equipped with numerous safety equipment. I also heard they asked the crowd for bolt cutters. I heard the track was not prepped correctly.
I do believe though that Steve was passed away at the point of impact which will help us to believe he did not suffer at least. Has anyone heard how bill rimmer is doing? I am passing on the bradenton race as i need time to devour this and mourn for Steve Grebeck. I think a lot of racers feel this way...

No doubt Steve Grebeck died instantly in this tragic accident. It was a very tough scene at the crash site with his wife just across the track from where his car came to rest.
Bill Rimmer was out of his car very quickly and probably was shaken up a bit, but reports indicated that he was not seriously hurt.
Photos I took immediately after the wreck.

Just read May MM&FF and found article that said that Jim Heavner suffered head injuries in December when testing his Pro 5.0 car
The car veered from the right lane into the left wall at 160 mph. According to the article Jim decided to retire.
Looks like they had similar incidents. Both started in right lane and veered hard left at high speed...
I hope they investigate to determine if there is a connection.
