sorry in advance, shameless plug, I know this belongs on the for sale section (auction block). I feel like a guest on the tonight show please forgive me

later,
chris

P.S. I ran again today for the first time this season, Virginia Motorsports Park opening day (for about 1 1/2 hours anyway till the rains came). Got a 12.50 and a 1.78 60ft on F1's on the very first run! my best 60 FT ever! Doesn't seem as fast as it once was, must be all the new stuff available to purchase making me feel inferior.

This comment is not meant to be insulting at all..........but
you are running like 7-8 extra pounds of boost (according to your sig) and only running 12.50's I say, buy a set of long tubes and watch your times drop to 12.1's.........or something.

if you read the sig you'd see that the truck has run 12.43@109mph. just curious, your sig does not include your time? what are you running? all of this longtube stuff has come about in the last few months so I understand why you think this is the latest and greatest end all performance bolt on, but how many other trucks on this board are running faster than 12.43 on the factory tires? a few yes, but not many, long tubes or not. quite frankly, from what I have seen these new headers are too new to say that they are worth anything or not. JDM is trying to sell them for something like $850 dollars! Is it worth it to me to pay nearly a grand to loose another 3 tenths? not really, especially since I'm trying to sell the truck. If I'm not mistaken the NHRA tracks require a roll bar or cage at 11.99 anyway, is everyone going to "bolt on" their truck into unraceable territory?

reply to Sap-One: "Chris what are you looking into for your next car/truck 03 cobra or what?Mike"

actually Mike, my truck is almost paid for and if I can sell it without loosing my *** on it, I can use that money to pay for the engine/transmission/and turbo chargers for the 93LX mustang that I have been building slowly. I don't have a house, so I can't get a home equity loan or a second mortgage, so my only option is to put the mustang on credit cards, which at 10.99%+ is not the smartest plan. If I sell the truck I can buy the car stuff in cash (zero interest) and then simply buy another truck. If I find another 01 I can get 0%-3.99% interest, and even if I have to buy an 02 I can still get like 5% interest on the truck loan which is far better than the credit card debt.

the way I see it is like this, $30,000 in truck debt at 0%-5% interest is far better than $30,000 in credit card debt at 10.99 or more percent interest. Especially since if something goes awry financially, I can always sell the truck to liquidate, whereas if I have that same debt on a credit card, it just isn't going to go away.

long story short, If I do find a buyer for my truck, I will be purchasing another one 01 or 02 almost immediately.

these trucks are just too much fun to go without one after driving one for a year!

later,
chris
