Bret, very true. The Viper would have to be a part time car.

With your list, my vote would be for the C32.

Have you thought about the new M3?

Sorry to hear you got rid of your L. If you have any parts left over, contact me I might be interested. I'd definitely be interested in the tonneau if that's available. Sorry to sound like a vulture picking apart a carcass!

If you're interested in a 'Vette, my buddy's Chev dealership has an '02 Z06 in stock in Millenium Yellow. I know I could get you a good deal.

Emil me if you like, enetwerks@hotmail.com

My vote, as before, would still be for the AMG. But, I'd recommend driving the rest. You'll like the AMG that much more after driving it.

What04,

Too bad you decided to part with your Lightning but you have to do what is good for you.

As for replacement vehicle, I'm with Spike. AMG C32.

Do stop back by from time to time.

Bob

You guys all seem to hacve pretty fancy tastes for truck guys. I'm still suffering from notruckitus so a Lightning is still high on my wish list.

How's that old saying go: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ...?" I've already owned two L's. Wonder what the third line would be?

It's pretty much been vulture haven on my email since I posted last night. Excellent since I didn't have to get busted for classified violations.

To answer questions, my tonneau went with the truck as did my BABolt tips, as well as the Bed Rug, upper and lower pulley and electric fan an Cobra water pump. Quick sellers were my gauges and pod, keypad and handle, filter kit, throttle body, and floor mats.

Some other less popular items still kicking around. E-mail me if your interested in a list.

Don't worry, I'll still be kicking around. My gut says '03 Cobra. Most bang for the buck by a long shot. (besides the L of course)

have you test driven the GS430? although it doesn't rate a 10 in most preformance catagories, it rates a 9 in all of them and is a large 5 passenger sedan that has some very sophisticated safety features when it comes to traction/skids/braking/ice-snow. it leases very well also, and when comparing features, it's hard to find anything comprobable for under 50K usd

The replacement to my Lightning will have to be something that's faster on a road course AND something comfortable to drive daily. BTW, I could care less who makes it and the cost matters, unless I win the lottery. If I won the lottery, I'd buy a Mini Cooper.
