mix tuner parts

do you guys buy different performance mods from different tuners or do you stick with one for all your needs. what is general rule of thumb. i.e., if i bought a PSP filter would it make sense to buy JDM chip.

thanks.

thanks for the links. but what i was really after was not who to go with but if there was any problems buying performance parts from different tuners for your L. i.e., coupling issues, etc. thanks.

The only major issue is to make sure when you buy a part from someone other than who has tuned your chip is to ask you Chip Tuner if you need a reburn for that new mod...

you can mix and match. but, lets say you buy ram air from one tuner and get your chip from the other tuner. ther is only one tuner who sells ram air and if you try and get a chip from someone else who doesnt sell ram air then it mght not be programmed right. but on the other hand all the tuners might know how to program for ram air so what i just said may be wrong. pretty much just buy whatever you want from whoever you want and you should be fine.

Wink

mix it up. you'll fit in better around here, and most of us like to make fun of the "loyalists" anyway

I usually mix-n-match my wardrobe to go with the event that I am attending. I got in trouble doing this at MRBBQMAN's last shin-dig where chitlin's and mountain oysters were featured .

OK, now I'm serious-------yes, you can mix almost any of the tuner's mods on the same truck. I have done this all along. see my sig.

mix-em as you see fit but be sure to discuss them with your chip tuner of choice so they can make sure to burn the correct file(s) onto the chip.

Post On the other hand..

At the risk of being a "loyalist", you have more leverage on price if you buy several parts at once from one vendor, as opposed to buying one-offs from each vendor. If money is no object, mix and match. Don't expect to negotiate price one part at a time.
