I finally found her!!! MINI-ME!!!!

Well, after endless searching on the internet, Forums, Toys R Us, etc etc etc.............I finally found the White Lightning Scale Model from Burago!!!!!

It's the one with the scooters some of you had mentioned, except that this one is a BUILD-IT-YOURSELF!!! Therefore, those hideous surfer and blue sky stickers are not on the body of the truck!

I started on Sunday for about an hour or so, and hopefully will be able to do some more on Wednesday, and finish her up for the weekend..........I'm going to make it look exactly like mine (I'm gonna darken the windows, put a billet antenna, and little tiny stickers on the back glass...........hopefully I can lower the back too, we'll see), except of course for the '01 wheels and '01 lights!

Can't wait to finish the little beast!!

I just bought one of the white ones by BBurago (with the Jet Ski graphics). I found it at K-B Toys for $19.99. It is listed as an F-150, but it is a Lightning. The goofy graphics peel off. Use Goof-Off or a similar product to remove any remaining gum on the paint. There is a rack in the bed with two Jet Skis, but it can be removed. The only downsides are that there are no Lightning decals on the fenders, the wheel hubs say "Ford" instead of "SVT" and there is an F-150 logo on the back instead of the SVT logo.

I bought a black Lightning kit at Wal-Mart just before Christmas. Be sure to look behind other boxes and in the overhead storage areas above the shelves.

Another alternative (more expensive) is to check out one of the big model car sites like Exoto or EWA. Do a search for "model cars".

That pissed me off........I didn't realize it till I opened the box.....doesn't matter though. I'll carefully peel off the ones on my black one and stick them on the white one. I'll just put the F150 ones on the black one. The white one is the one that has to look good anyways.

Would it be bad to go buy another Lightning model, swap out the stickers, and return it??? I think I'd feel bad for the next L owner who goes and buys what I returned......EEEEKK!!

Wasn't there a Burago catalog in the box with the model?

Mine had one. I ordered the correct version from the local WalMart. I even painted the wheels titanium to match the factory wheels instead of the cheesy chrome.

Now I'm using the 'Jetski Lightning' to do custom paint scheme experiments to see how they'll look.
