I have luckly eluded a very large # of cops in my history of street racing about 7 years of it every Friday and Saturday night. I've also been pulled over in my Mustang because my 2 friends were racing in front of me and my buddy who was in a 95 Z28. We got pulled over on a bogus bunch of sh*t and we got stuck with 2 points and fines just because the cop was the sheriff. It still pisses me off. Could have easily smoke him if I wanted to but I didn't do anything so I pulled over. Oh well good luck.

6 mo. no license.............piece of cake!!!

Down here in South Fla, thanks to local news, it is now a criminal offense, and punishable by jail time, in addition to losing your car and license....indefinitely!!! Depending on what exactly you were doing, speed, where, when, how, etc!!!!

They recently had a SWAT team raid at the illegal Saturday night races down here, along with a week-long Channel 4 News Report with a reporter who actually went in and hung out at the races......Unbelievable *****. At the raid, everyone that was spectating was given a ticket............all those participating were taken to jail and had their car impounded.

I agree with law enforcement breaking these unsanctioned, illegal gatherings up, and taking whatever steps needed, but I think in some instances they are going overboard on the stoplight to stoplight stuff. It is a very delicate matter to discuss, and although I try not to do it too often, I can honestly say after one close call several years back, screwing around in any kind of traffic is out of the question for me. It has to look like the Sahara Desert on a completely open strip of road for me to screw around with another car! And even then, danger is always present.

In any case, I think what TimPerkins said is accurate.......I heard the same from a co-worker's son who is a police officer, so hopefully, you should be ok! Look at it this way, you'd be in a lot more heap of ***** if you drove an import...........they get the book thrown at 'em!

You can't out run them but radio waves are restricted to a straight line so you sure as hell can out manuver them.

Think twice...

because you never know what's going to jump out at you...

While I've been known to *periodically* engage in the stoplight 'show of superior firepower', letting things get out of hand can be quite dangerous ... After spending quality time on the track, you really appreciate how seriously fun the proper venue is, how stupid most drivers are, and how easily things can go from great to sucking in a tenth of a second...

Once, while out on my 165 +/- rwhp Ninja, I was travelling one of my frequented public roads, as I was wont to do, at a *somewhat* other than legal pace... All was well in the world, until a BIG HONKING DEER jumped out in front of me. MAXIMUM braking ensued, with BOTH tires howling in protest as I screeched to a halt less than a foot from the Doe's body... she then bolted away... She just bolted from the tree line... I estimate I was doing 80 (in a 50 zone), on a MILES long straighaway.

You said you had no muffler why would you do that ?
IF your truck started to detonate at WOT, how could you possibly hear it ?

Good luck...

LOL that's so true.

Try to outrun police here in SoCal and they'll have a Bell Jet Ranger on your a$$ in minutes, plus your "15 minutes of fame" on the local TV channels
