A friend of mines has a stock 98 corvette. He doesn't know very much about L's but claims he can blow the doors off one taking off at a light.. I told him maybe so but it won't be all that easy. I've raced a vette from a roll and we WOT at the same time and both were basically neck and neck until the next light. My L was stock then. Now I know that on the Hwy, it's the vette all the way. Now since i just bought the JDM 93 octane street aggressive chip program which has done wonders and an Air raid enclosed filter system do i stand even more of a chance with him? From a stop would i run with if not possibly nose ahead on this guy? His vette is an automatic also and he's not too good of a driver..In a corvette, power is power i guess but in general power is nothing w/out control.. What do you guys think?

I saw an auto vette run a 14.3(his best time) last week at the track to my 13.5. Our mods are very similar.

 

It wouldn't even be a race. This would be a prime time to win a little extra cash!!
