FINALLY- A TampaSVT Mod I Can Afford!!
Builtfordfast and myself had the opportunity to sit down with John Coletti and Al Suydam, Lightning Program Manager for about 45 minutes today. What a blast! They were both kind enough to sign some stuff for us. Here's a couple of pictures. The rest can be seen at,
Visiting with John Coletti. There's more to come.

It was a pleasure meeting those 2 guys. Both of them seemed like down to earth true hot rodders. Very nice guys.
Sounds like more good things to come in the future also

That cool. Did you ask about the "rods" that they are using in our trucks? And why they saw the reason to use manley rods in the new supercharged cobra
? Last but not least, whats up the pipeline for the new Lightning?????

Now that were back at home...yeah that was one of the 1000 questions I wanted to ask...but do you think that I could remember to ask that there.....of course not... dummy me...hehe
Anyway they did tell us of a little project that they did, that for anybody in the Detroit area, that can get to the Autorama this weekend can see, is a Ford Ranger...........................................
with the Lightning motor and drivetrain in it, with one piece 11" wide rims on the back sporting 335 wide tires on it. Apparently a sleeper type... u know just a typical looking ranger.
Verrryyyyy interesting. Needless to say I will be going to Autorama this weekend to check it out.
Nothing specific for future Lightnings though, except to tell us to save our pennies.
Sounded to me like there is more in store.
