Nope, the 01 is the same as the 99.

I thought that the 2001 was bigger than previous years!!

 

Not from what others have said on this board. The only difference is the part number. Generally they are a tight fit, but either should work.

Put it in and drive. W00t. It'll shave of a couple of seconds off of your times.

 

I installed a KN on my 01 and it was a snug fit. At first it wouldnt go but i Took the hose clamp off the top air box hose so i could the box to angle enough to it get to go in the holes. Hope this helps

Dear customer,

We are in development on a kit for this vehicle. Right now with the kit and the supercharger the vehicles intake is extremely loud. R&D is trying to make the vehicle not so noisy with the kit installed. We do not have an ETA on the release of this kit, if in fact it is released.
