Stock w/k&n Dyno #s

Max h.p 361 at 5450 rpm
Max tq 431 ftlb. at 3900rpm

A/F was 12.5

Motor was stock except K&n panel.

These numbers O.K.?
This will be my baseline numbers before mods.
The conditions were about as perfect as could be.56 degrees and good humidity and the truck sat waiting for half an hour.Motor was laser temped about 95 degrees.

Those #'s sound pretty good to me. My 00 dyno'd @ 370hp and 450 tq with a chip and filter. Looks like with a chip you will be well above those numbers.

I was happy with the numbers. The guy said it was the highest dynoed L he had done. They have only done a few Ls though, mostly mustangs. He asked me if I was sure it wasn't modded. My goal is the 4/5 combo with chip ,4 lb. pulley, etc.
I am trying to be a realist though.I am sure I would not have gotten those stock numbers in the summer.

VINNIE,
Those are some really sweet numbers for being stock and K/N filter only! Can you post the dyno runs for us to see because from my experience peak Torque comes in at 3400-3500 and Peak HP comes in at 4900-5000 on our trucks and the numbers will fall off from that point on!

Matt

Is this at the wheels or flywheel?

At the wheels.

High Roller
I can not post because I have(now don't laugh) Webtv.Hey I said no laughing.
I will bring my charts this sunday to jersey get together and ask JERSEY to post it.I recchecked the graph and at 3400-3500 torque was 335 ftlb. and climbed to 430 ftlb by 3900.
You are right about the h.p..(The letters were in the way).It reached max torque at 5000 rpm and slightly declined to 5300 and a little spike at 5400 but the end spike was not more then then 5000 number.
Again this was optimum conditions. I could not have planned better weather. The dyno was right by the door and it was open bringing all the fresh air in.

Outstanding numbers, Vinnie!!!

Does the L rev limiter cut fuel or spark? If it cuts fuel, that may be why you saw the spike at 5400, since it started leaning out the mix.

Believe me. I did not want to say that I have Webtv, but I did not want HIGH ROLLER(or anybody else) to think I was ducking out of not posting my graph.
Webtv is really not that bad. Had it for 2 years and I have a 36 inch screen T.V..So the pictures are full size not a little 8 inch box.It does serve my purpose.(just trying to justify being to cheap to buy a computer).Since I bought the L all the spare money goes to mods.

LOL sorry I had to do it. I shouldn't say anything I used to have webTV.

Those are awesome # for a stock Lightning.
19 HP loss in the drivetrain over adverstised #s thats great.

Sounds like you have a strong motor.
