Question Cleaning the Stock Exhaust tips

What product/technique do you all use to polish the stock exhaust tips?

I have used Mother's metal polish. . .applied by hand. . .with good results.

When I tried the CeramaBryte. . .applied by hand. . .it sucked.

Is a buffing wheel the secret to using this stuff?

I use the Eagle One never dull stuff. It works ok. I am going to try some Brasso with a buffing wheel on the Dremel soon.

WrongdayJ: I have tried both and with similar results. I like the Mothers polish. For the inside of the tips, try a brass brush on a drill and then follow up with the Mother's. It will shine like you won't believe! Just be careful not to let the drill get away from you and scratch the paint!!

Hey Dan

I have a full bottle too, but if you're gonna give it away, I'll take it!

When are you gonna post some pics of your new exhaust setup? I have a digital camera if you want to snap some pics.

Thumbs up

Thanks you guys for posting replies.

I am going to try the Mother's with a dremel polishing wheel.

A friend of mine who polishes wheels and intakes also suggested some stuff called Wenol. Hell, after the CeramaBryte disaster. . .things couldn't get much worse.

I'll post pictures of the results of each.

Thanks again,
