Question loss of power??

I was curious to know what are a number of things that can contribute to a decrease in engine performance..Compared to when i first bought my truck used with 17K miles its not as snappy. Before i could slightly touch the pedal from a cruise and with no effort it quickly accelerates. I'm thinking since now that i have 45K miles on it , thats a major factor. I don't drive it hard and just had the 30k service done which improved it a little. Anyone else with high miles on their Ls experiencing this loss? Then again maybe it's in the mind...

I think it is all in your mind, mine feels slow sometimes, it is that you get used to the power.

I have been driving a mini van for 9 weeks, I know when I get back into the L it is going to feel like a F15

I have 55000 miles on my truck, it feels like if it were brand new to me. it is true that your mind sometimes is slower making it seem that the vehicle is slow, i always get days like those. what i do is i drive the family expedition, then my L, and it feels fast as it always is.

DB you took the words right out of my mouth. Whenever I feel like the L is feeling like any other truck , I take out my buddy's 5.4 4x4 . Reality check!!! I swear to God, I thought I had the parking brake on!! I then get back in my beast and wow!! I'm good for another Month or so.

If like me, it sometimes depends on what kind of day I'm having, and what kind of mood I'm in. A bad hair day will do it also.

Maybe its also because it's been so windy here..when i bought my truck last summer. So not much when resistance = better acceleration..What you guys think?

wind! HAHAHAHAHA

I think its all in your head, I get in my truck and think its slow sometimes. Just the other day I had crued in my truck and asked him if my truck felt slow and he kinda looked at my funny and said hell no.... I just get used to it, but I'm after driving around the grand prix (3.8 N/A) for the past few months the beast will feel like a completely wild animal when I get back in her.

i'm guessing they changed the fuel filter when you did the 30K, when was your last spark plug change?
