I think Sal should know how to take care of such things.

I am pretty sure Sal has he ability to arange shipping. My guess is that it will be a Freight truck doing the shipping. It will take some time as it is coming ground on a truck...Most of these trucks only bring it to you. You will have to provide a way to get it off the truck. It happens to us all the time with heavy mechanical orders we place....

Just put $1632 worth of U.S. stamps on it, and air mail it.

I bought an engine from Kenny Duttweiler for my CJ-5 . He took care of the shipping. Just make sure you have a way of getting the engine off the truck it arrives.

Go to frieghtquote.com and get an estimate for shipping. I've had a couple of Harley's shipped from Virginia to Louisiana and it cost about $300.00 for a 700 lb crate.

pallet jack if the truck has a lift gate or a forklift if it arrives on a non-lift gate vehicle

since you said it is shipping to your house, you might tell the freight line to hold it at their terminal. you can then pick it up in a pickup truck, which they will load, and then you and your buddys can get it out of the pick-up at your leisure

In a pinch I've used a pile of tires (without wheels) on the ground and pushed the engine crate onto them. Then we used an engine hoist to put it onto a cart to take it into the shop before mounting it on an engine stand.

J15BIG, are you sure Sal even has a shop? Are you sure he won't be drop shipping from a different location? I was under the impression that Sal did not have an actual shop where you can go to get your L worked on. Maybe I am wrong, but find out for sure.
