Can you use the line loc to launch or is it just for the burnout???

 

Straight drive cars can use it for launch. That way they don't have to be concerned about creeping through the staged light before the green lights up. This way they can keep on foot on the gas pedal and the other on the clutch.

Automatics really don't need to use it for launching.
