Anybody used Dynamat?

I am having the carpet replaced. I was going to Dynamat the floor. Just wondering if it really cut down on road noise. Is there a difference ?. Thanks. Bob.

(where's he been lately--sniffin' zylene ) found a better, cheaper alternative but I don't remember what it was. Think it came from the McMaster/Carr site. If the 'fog' clears, maybe he'll chime in.........................

Question

How much Dynamat does it take to do the floor and cab back?
Who has it at the best price and how much should I expect to pay?

60-75sqft. if you're doing the doors too.

If you hook up with a good stereo shop, you might be able to buy it off of a big roll. A LOT cheaper than buying it by the package.

Hi-Temp mastic
$12.79/ 32"x54" sheet (12 square feet @ $1.07/sq. ft)

I used 5 sheets and have yet to put one on the roof. One guy on here stated that the Mastic (PN 9709T21) is the same as the original Dynamat. The Hi-Temp mastic weighs more per square foot than that one. It's more of a "rubbery" asphalt. Works very well in mine. Alot cheaper than Dynamat as well. Unless you just want to see a logo... that you end up covering up.
