X Plan, A Plan

Alright... I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't find it, and it's not in the FAQ. All the posts I read just basically say it's a discount....

What are the "X" and "A" plans? How do you get these?
Please explain.
Thanks

I am not sure about "X"

But "A" is a employee/family member discount. Where you will get about a set amount off the invioce price. no haggle, no nothin. I have been able to save up to 3500.00 off a sticker doing this.

how do you get it, "family" member works for Ford or you do. Last I heard step/aunt/uncle/cousin/brother/sister, will do. But there only alloted up to 3 a year.

I am not a Ford employree so my info may be off, but that was the last I knew

Ohhh...
I work for a company who buys our ford trucks and vans for our fleet, and services them at a dealership who we provide service for... I get a signifigant discount, but I didn't know it had a name. =)
The only problem... yeah, good guess. They don't sell anything SVT. Something about their contract with Ford...
Argh.

they have to be a SVT dealer

the have to be a svt dealer to get svt vehicles also have a certain number of svt trained mechanics cause you get a VIP thing when you buy a svt product but if you company is a part of a ford parten program you can go to any dealer and find a svt that will honor the x plan cause all of them dont

The X-plan applies to all "Ford Partners". I work for a BorgWarner, a direct to OEM (aka Tier-1) supplier. All our employees are entitled to X-plan pricing from Ford. GM also gives us special discounts. Chrysler doesn't, but who cares! I used to work for a Tier-2, but I don't think they get X-plan.

I paid just a hair under $29K for my 02 L a month ago.
