Is this a 'good' idea? Dyno/spark plug related...
I dynoed my L back in July--90*F temps. Since then, I have changed several mods and I want to take advantage of the cooler temps and re-dyno my L. I will use the same Dynojet at South Georgia Corvettes in Thomasville, Ga.
My question/thought is--why not pull #1 or # 5 plug after the last dyno pull? The eng. has just gone WOT and the plug should show an accurate indication of a 'lean' or a 'rich' condition. My concern is will it 'hurt' the eng. to shut it off at WOT or would it be better to let it idle down some beforehand? To get an accurate reading, I have read that you should shut it down at WOT and then check the plug 'color'. Comments....suggestions wanted.
