Would the .99V apply to my cougar as well? I have not checked the voltage yet, but i plan on it after reading this post.

i dunno.. see if you can find the specs in a repair manual?

Posting here because I think I have a TPS related problem...

5.4L S/C but should be typical. Stock throttle body.

Using a Predator, my readings are as follows:

1. Foot off gas... .97v, TP Mode = ?
2. Very light pressure... 1.0v or above, TP Mode = WOT
3. Foot to floor... 4.98v, TP Mode = P/T

Does that seem right? If "WOT" means wide open throttle, then I'm observing at all positions of the accelerator EXCEPT idle and foot to the floor! And I only get P/T when my foot is to the floor?

Unless "WOT" doesn't mean "Wide Open Throttle" and "P/T" doesn't mean part-throttle???

Can someone PLEASE check and see what you get???

THANKS

Your numbers look correct to me.

WOT=Wide Open Throttle=4.98 v
P/T=Part Throttle=1.0+ v
TP=Throttle Position(closed)=less than 1.0 v

Yes.... but foot off the throttle = TP Mode "?", throttle to the floor equals TP Mode "P/T" and part throttle equals PT Mode "WOT"?

Maybe the Predator is confused? It can't be going off of anything but the TPS, right?

I'm headed out to run the EVAPDC route AGAIN in the hope of someday passing OBDII emmissions test so that I can get my "HEMI HA" license plate...

I'm not familiar with the Predator so I may have mis-stated in my post above?

Need help with accufab TB

I put a accufab single blade TB on my 04 L and with the TPS set to .99 , the idle is too high. changing the set screw doesnt do anything. if u tap the idle, it will rev to 1100 rpms for about 5 secs and then goes back down. shifts diferently and not as hard. put the stck one back on and the truck runs fine. can anyone help or anyone had the same problem.

When I installed an Accufab SBTB on my 01L in 2002, when I let off the throttle, it would hang up at about 1100-1200rpm - then drift down to about 700-750rpm. I bent the throttle return spring bracket back a bit to increase the tension on the throttle return spring - has been fine ever since. My TPS was about .96v - adjusted to about .99v - didn't make any difference.

i tried putting harder springs on and tried pushing the throttle down and nothing is helping. it doesnt seem to be mechanical. thougt it might be a vacuum leak but found none.

Just did mine. 1.2 volts. Those screws where a PITA to get loose. Adjusted to .980.
