Ok so it's been awhile since I followed them. No clue what the 4.3 can put out.

Since I had both, there is nothing like the launch of the Typhoon but on the other hand, you sure can't beat the torque of the Lightning. A friend of mine has a Syclone and I have to say he sure does give me a good run. Either one sure is fun to drive!!!!!!!!

Thumbs up

Just another Sy guy chiming in here...
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4...MCSyclone.html is the Ferrari race. Good read. =)

By no means are the SyTy's the perfect vehicle. But they were designed to tear it up on the street, and they're still doing just that ten years later. 285hp and 350lbs./ft. in a 3300lb pickup leads to lots of fun. =) One stock truck was actually dyno-ed at just under 400lbs/ft even.

If you want more to read, here's a comparison with a Stealth TT and some GM specs (about 200k each)...

Syclones are nice but no match for the L in all around vehicle dynamics.

I have a 80K mile Syclone in my driveway that runs mid 12's, very nice ride but I almost killed myself driving it back from North Carolina as the interior is too tight for my 5' 8" frame for long hauls. Now the guy that owns it also has a 14K mile Syclone with major motor work, Brodix aluminum heads, Speedpro, T-66, ect, ect that runs low 11's in street trim on drag radials, that thing is a blast and draws big stares.

BTW a good running Syclone (11's) will do a burn out, just spins 3 out of the 4 tires instead of just the rears. Problem is you never know which front will spin and the result is a rapidly lane changing vehicle.

I'll stick with my L.
