My 2000 never used oil like that or is i because I have increased the boost on this one(4# pulley) all help would be appreciated,Just switched to Amsoil XL-7500 full synthetic and now we will see what happens

My 01 was using a quart every 500 - 600 miles and smoked on startup. Three cylinders had oil fouled plugs upon inspection, though compression and leakdown tests suggested motor was fine. Engine replaced under warranty last week, 400 miles so far with no smoke or oil use. Keep an eye on it.

frank2- My 01 has 4400 miles and it was also 2 quarts low!! It didnt even register on the dipstick! A friend of mine also has an 01 and his has around 8000 miles and his was 3 quarts low on his last oil change! I dont know what is going on, but Im sure others are doing this and people just havent noticed it yet. My 01 is modded like yours, but my friends was bone stock!!! So mods are not the problem. Mine does smoke sometimes at startup, but not always. Im gonna keep am eye on my oil level every 1000 miles.

20,300 miles with no measureable oil useage. Maybe your oil is being forced up into the intake area by an overpressurized crankcase. Pull the boot off of the th/body and see if oil is draining by the th. blade/blades.
