*** Lightning VAN!!! **** [Merged]
DB, I can't believe you know that name!!!! Yes, I am a fellow Ramblin' Wreck, and I specifically chose that name because I figured no one else on this forum would recognize it (plus John Doe would have been to obvious). I am VERY surprised and glad to have been busted by you! I feel embarrassed at the same time, for not giving you guys on the Lightning forum enough credit! I never thought anyone would recognize that name - I would have bet the house on it!
So DB... when were you eating dinner at Britain Dining Hall with Goerge P. Burdell? I just got out of there myself, graduated in 99.

LOL... I made that animated gif but WantALight discovered it on his own while browsing my site directories...
I was going to use THAT one for my sig, but it's like 160 KB and I know Steve/Doug would probably frown on that. So I stuck with the smaller file that doesn't have the animated snow.
WantALight, did you find anything else of interest while you were digging around in there?

Yeah... but you got to add the slightest bit of blue and green to truely match the cast of the sky being reflected in the metallic paint. Not as much here since it's a whiteout blizzard condition... LOL
Magic is magic...

I made it out of there in '94

My dad went there as well '65
I posted the econoLightning to the dodge list, to ask if the Vipervan was in the works yet, and someone else recognised the name. i didn't have the heart to tell him
this was his post:
If you notice, the article is written by George P. Burdell, Georgia Tech's most illustrious alumni. After enrolling at Tech in 1930, George embarked on a long educational journey which led him to earn more engineering degrees than any other student in Tech's history. In addition to his academic feats, George has proudly served his nation when the need arose and has participated in every major US conflict starting with WWII (sometimes serving in more than one branch and rank in different theatres of operation). Also, he is a big sports fan, and if you attend many sporting events, you might be lucky enough to hear him being paged over the intercom. Furthermore, he is a prolific author and frequently writes letters and commentaries that can be seen in the opinion pages of many national newspapers. Given his connections in the engineering community (including the automotive industry), you can rest assured that if he says Ford is building a van powered by a 380 hp Lightning based engine, it must be true!
