Speedy,
Definitely would like to meet up with you at Muncie to whip butt on those F-Bodies,there are usually a group of them there!

My mechanic told me this morning i have no 2nd gear and he thought the drum broke or came apart but will no more later when he gets it apart!

My tranny felt like crap the last couple of times I drove mine.
I will be getting a new one from Ford I'm sure.

Hey Dan,
Hows it going i will be seeing you guys for another dyno session soon!Hopefully we can find some more power than last time! Here is the update:My intermediate one-way clutch with rollers that is supposed to turn only one way for some reason decided to turn the other way causing me to lose second gear all together but the good news is everything else was in good shape and can be saved and i should be up and running by tommorrow!I feel that this was a stroke of bad luck never heard of any one having this problem, usually just replacing the burned up clutches!

MAtt, I'm getting a replacement out to you ASAP, waiting on the drum. Was it the "sprag" that went south? That is EXTREMELY RARE, but sorry all the same.

Yipes!!! That really sucks, sorry to hear. Hope it's an easy fix, but when you have to drop the tranny, there is no easy fix

Matt, glad to hear it was nothing major and most likely a fluke. Your going to need that beefed up tranny for the new concrete launching pad at martin, especially if you want to keep up with me.

In my work on A4LD's, I have found that the forward one-way clutch / sprag is a very overlooked item. Many times, the rebuilders will look at it, determine it is fine, and reuse it. Then, within a year, it will go bad. Thus, on the A4LD, you ALWAYS replace it....... no matter how good it looks.

Of course, I have no experience on the 4R100, so I do not know about the details of working on those. I just thought it was ironic when I saw the post.

Glad to hear it wasn't something serious.
