Anyone used this product??

I am no to sure if it is new or not. Its new to my head for sure. I was at my local tire place, looking @ 22's AGIAN, when the UPS guy brought in a box with SUPERCHIPS on the side. I asked my friend who owns the store what it was and he said a SUPERCHIPS POWER PROGRAMMER?? I was like for what vehicle? This one was made for a Turbo Desiel Ford Truck... I wonder if they have one for a L? I wonder how good it can be if they do have one?? The one for the Turbo clammed it can give up to 80hp with retuning of the PCM. Im sure its due to the Turbo side of the truck but I bet on a L it can be just as good.....

I know HYPERTECH makes one for our trucks, anyone heard of the SUPERCHIPS POWER PROGRAMMER before??

I wonder if that would show up when the dealers went to check out some trucks computers?

They (Superchips)have been doing that with GM cars for a few years, I am not sure if our procesors are flashable.

The ford PCM must have some type of ability to flash or reburn something to the PCM. I know the one I saw was for a 01 Ford F350 Turbo Desiel. And since HYPERTECH has one for the L something has to be capable!!!

I was thinking that if they plugged into the computer of a 99 it automatically reflashed it to 00 specs. I have told them not to flash my 99. I have 0 problems with it compared to the 00. something is always coming up on a check engine on the 00 and the 99 is fine so far......

If it did exist, it would suck. Our superchips can be reburned to compensate for added mods or shifting, etc. The programmers are limited to what they can do.One advantage, though is that they can "take out" the burn that you initially put into the truck.Otherwise, once you program the ECU, your programmer CANNOT be used for other vehicles.I laugh when I see them for sale after they have been used. Its like the owners think they still have the programming ability still in them.Wrong!
