Exclamation Cam bolt kit, FRPP lowering kit and alignment questions

For anyone who has done the cam bolt kits from Napa I have a few quick questions...

When I removed the original upper control arm bolts there was a square piece of metal with a hole in the middle and a tab on one corner on each arm of the upper control arm. I assume this is the "device" that Ford uses to lock the upper control arms in place with the stock bolts. When I install the Napa kit I am assuming I remove this little gem...is that correct?

On the Ground Force/FRPP kit...did anyone pay attention to the instructions and locate the springs as listed in the directions? In my Ford service manual it says to install the springs so they cover one hole in the lower control arm and cover half of the second hole. I assume Ground Force has different instructions because of the shortened length of their springs. Can anyone tell me what method they used for locating the coil springs in the lower perch and if they have encountered any problems? If I locate the springs as Ground Force tells me to the upper portion of the spring with the rubber bumper installed on it is no where near where it was with the stock springs...is this an issue?

Also, does anyone happen to have the alignment specs that were posted a while ago as I don't want to have to manually search trough several hundred posts.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Good question on that square piece. I have the Ground Force kit and am installing cam bolts this weekend. I would assume removing the piece to allow for follow-on adjustments.

Me and a friend installed the springs as per the instructions that came with the kit, no problems so far. There are no alignment specs that come with the kit either. I am sticking with stock specs since the drop isn't too different from stock. Others have specific specs that they want for some reason. BTW, I had the alignment checked and it wasn't far from stock settings. This weekend I will install cam bolts, bushings, and Bilsteins.
Good luck. Dennis
