Mobil 1/Amsoil oil filter ?
You can buy the amsoil 5w20 7500 series for $5.20/quart, and $61.20/case online (plus shipping). I also know where you can get the K&N gold HP2010 filters for $10. I was hoping maybe someone knew of some cheap online source for good oil filters(amsoil-mobil 1-k&n gold). Also part #'s would be great. Thanks again guys.
Not for nothing, but not too long ago a study and test(independent) of all the oil filterts was done. This included filtration, construction and valving of all the major manufacturers and the conclusion was that 3 came out ahead. They were Purolator, Wix (same as Napa silver & gold) and Motorcraft.I know the Amzoil is a Wix filter with more filter element but I heard it restricts oil pressure slightly.I'll try to find the site and post it.
I have a couple of motorcraft filters, and of course I will use them, but I was under the impression that the 3 filters I mentioned were the best? Anyway thanks for the info, and i'll try to search for that post too. Can anyone else help us out here?
I have found that nobody sells speciality oils at a discount price. I have bought Amsoil/ mobile 1/ Redline / ect... if you want it you must pay full pop for it. I wish you luck in your search I have had none.

Check out Ebay. There's a few Amsoil dealers selling it at a good price. I picked up a case (5W30) and 3 SDF-11 filters for $81.00 from this guy. This is the third time I ordered from him and he doesn't charge for shipping either. Shoot him an email for a price of 5W20.

Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered a case of amsoil (5w20 7500) for $52 with free shipping. Definately the best deal I have seen on the net.

Your wasting your hard earned cash if you change synthetics that early. Honestly, you you can easily go 5-10,000 miles with a good synthetic like Amzoil. Even regular dino oil is good for 5,000 these days. The oil companies have to comply with the auto mnfg's warrantee issues and for liability issues revolving around the "recommended change intervals"that really cover the auto company's ***, in case Joe blow who uses recycled 5w 30 and goes off-roading, forgets to change his oil after 10,000 miles. This extreme case has to be the pinacle of their recommendation, so that every situation (driving condition) is covered. Read this when you have time. www.carjunky.com-news-motor_oil-mom1.shtml
