what's a blow down pipe do? Why would i need one?

 

A blow down pipe attaches to the bottle blow off valve, when the pressure is beyond safe levels, the blow off valve will vent the bottle, ie all the nitrous will be let out. A blow down pipe is mandatory for any bottle mounted inside the drivers compartment of a vehicle, this way the nitrous will be vent outside away from the driver
