JL Powercooler Info....
I have a bought a used JL Powercooler to try to mount it like Mike (MBROWN) has his. I will give him all the credit for the idea when I post my pics because he was where I saw it!! Usually you have to relocate the battery to the bed or underside of the truck. I didnt want to do this (or have a supercooler in my bed) so like him I am going to mount mine where the Winshield washer fluid tank goes. The next part I have not figured out yet nor has Mike. Relocating or reconfiguring a windshield washer fluid system. To me its not something I have to have but I am going to try to come up with something.
Mike,
Again thanks for the idea man. I will let you know if I get the WW fluid working somehow!!

i think it just adds extra coolant capacity to make your compressed air from the supercharger cooler. or at least keep it cool. i think it adds resiviours(sp?) or something like that
JL has two kinds of powercoolers. The standard PowerCooler, which installs under the hood and the SuperCooler, mounts in the bed. The SuperCooler is larger than the PowerCooler.
How it works:
There is stainless steel tubing coiled in the cooler box that your intercooler fluid is routed through. You put ice in the cooler box and when you turn on your intercooler pump the fluid routes through the tubing cooling in down a whole lot. There is significant gains in cooling down your intake and intercooler.

Cool, let me know. I was busy as hell today and didnt get the chance to look for a different tank. My friend w/ the supra had his tonsils taken out and is high on oxycontin and demarol. We lowered his supra this weekend so I took it today to get an alingnment for him. Also, I sold my 93 lightning last night and didn't have a chance to take off the NOS so he brought it back over this afternoon so that I could. Now I have a system just lying around. Hmmmm, I wonder what I could put it on.

Remove the windshield washer tank, take the cover off of the battery and slide back to the firewall, and put in the powercooler. It fits so tight you dont really need to secure the battery or the cooler. The rest of the install is the same as in the instructions from JL.
Tell you friend I hope he is doing ok. I had to stop working on it since my garage is full and its cold as hell out. I have so much to get in, I got the traction bars on today and half way through the powercooler. Tomm I will finish that and install my stereo system!!!
Hey Richard, check this out. I bought it at a Ford dealership for $32, part #e5tz-17618-b. I haven't put it in the truck yet but I did pop the hood and it looked like it will work. I capped off the bottom and the hole in the side and will make a new hole to work w/ our factory grommet tomorrow. The expansion plug I got from Advance for $3 and the part # on it is 02602. It is 1 3/8". The other plug is just a vacum line cap which the lady at Ford gave to me for free.
Yo mike, Got my taxes back today, looking to buy a 4# pulley, fan kit, pump and power cooler and a couple small items.
