$249 for the pipe and filter . . . pretty good deal.

AHHHHHHH!
My custom made pipe is the best out there. Nothing but cold air from a 4inch pipe that runs right below the drivers side fog lamp where the air filter sits.
some old pic of it. the mass air is between the boot and first elbow inside the engine compartment now.

I wanted to wait till Babolt had his power pipe available, but this Anderson Power pipe looks like the way to go, as I can use my stock 90 MAF. And it's only $188. Ok, who's going to be first?

Power Pipe®,Hose Fittings,
12" AFM Powerstack Filter, Pro-M 92mm Mass Air
$690.00
92mm MAF?? Is that good for any hp? Can the tuners tune chips for that even though they have most likely never used 92mm MAF before?

Joe,
That is a nice setup man. That Moroso Can you have where did you get that. I am going to need something like that for a winsheild washer fluid tank.

Believe it or not the metal pipe is from a international semi store. thats the pipe they use for exhaust. Its exactly 4 inches and works great with a 90milimeter mass air. fits perfect.
I bought a 45 degree piece and that was it! Then I bought the rubber elbows of course to go allon, but they can be bought at other places to. The total cost to by all the stuff was around 200 bucks or so. the rubber elbows where big $$$ from the semi store but there supossed to handle some severe abuse.
As for the moroso can, Once we started with the mod we really could have gotten away with not using that, but I bought it and it looked cool so I figured lets go for it. I bought it from my local speed shop (winners circle) and that thing was $90 bucks!!!!
. I've never had a problem with running out of fluid or anything allong that nature. Of course I had to by A/N fittings to work with it, so figure those in too.
That filter is long gone now, Lost it at byron (long story). But since then I added a 12" filter and I have only cleaned it once since I installed it and its been about 5 to 7K miles maybe. It doesn't get that dirty and I've drove it in the rain a bunch too with no problems.
My air temps are really cold compared to before. I tested it once and it was 65 degrees outside and i let my truck sit and warm up for about 5 minutes and the temp went up to 73degrees sitting there. it went up a little and down a little depending on the wind, but it was consistent. When I drove around the temp was just about outside air temp all the time, so it works. (I tested it using myautotap, and I'm pretty sure the autotap measures that off the Mass air. My mass air is in the engine comaprtment like I said before).
It definetly a system that you don't see anywhere else and I can figure out why tuners are so persistent on leaving the air filter in the engine bay so it sucks in more hot air when you not moving. The only air my truck sucks in is the air thats right where the filter is in this picture, and we all know hot air rises so I like my system and I'm sure its one of the best. I should have it dynoed to see what it makes.

That tube looks real rough to me. I think that BA's will be alot better looking, nice and smooth. Anderson's looks to be somewhat restrictive at points too, changing from one size to another.....
All I say is the AFM power pipe is a mighty fine piece for a tractor doing plowing. I also know why Pro-M was able to do a 92 mm air meter as we worked together on my Power Pipe with the installed MAS. The exact size 92 mm. Four inch OD aluminum tube with a .125 wall thickness you can figure the the ID
. It is still good to see that no one has combined the two yet.

I agree with PFA. the peice looks crude and although functional, I would rather see one like Mikes or one that looks like more thought went into it. (more like a "factory " part , instead of a Frankenstein fab. (And lose that Anderson decal..please!!)
