i have a set of 01 fog lights and would like to know what needs to be done to fit them in the 99 bumper cover. i know they mount totally different and the wire harness is different, but i dont want to change the bumper cover if i dont have to. any opinions wil be very helpful,thanks.

 

For my conversion I went and cheated and bought the Ford 2wd foglight kit part # YL3Z-15200-AAA which came with the lights, valance, mounting brackets, hardware, wiring harness, switch, and instructions...

 

are those lights the same as the 01 fog lioghts? if they are i will just order those. did you mount them in a 99 bumper cover?

I did the conversion in my '00 and I personally dont think it was worth it, U also have to change the wire harness. I didnt want to cut my factory harness so I managed to keep my H3 light bulbs but I had to sacrifice my old fog light bases. It was about a 6HR project But thats because im a little bit picky, U have to shave the bumper on the inside where the fog light goes cause the new ones sat out a little far ohh it was a nightmare. Now my fog lights are cracked anyway and look like FISHBOWLS so I have to do it all over again I think Im just going to see If I can get a '01 front bumper, it would probably be a lot easier, if not Ill sell mine and get an '02
