Valet Parking
Hey all,
Haven't posted for a while as nothing of any worth has happened. Well........that changed a little bit last night as the wife and I went into the big city (filthadelphia) to meet up with the other member of our lightning group for our banquet. Anyway, we get to the location and I am feeling good, so I decide to valet park my vehicle. Go to the site below to see the results of my brain fart.
Never, never, never a f#$*ing gain will anyone who I do not know or who does not own a lightning, drive it anywhere...This will include Ford technicians (sorry all you good techs who are L owners).

Thanks Dan, I still don't understand this stuff at times.

You want to know what is funny about this. We had just gone in and came out cause the wait was for 3 hours and decided to go to another location and the guy who wrecked came up to me and told me "I'm sorry sir, I hit a pole with your truck. After he had done his damage to the truck, instead of leaving it where it happened and getting the police, he goes and parks it in the lot where they keep the vehicles. I eventually get the truck out and go back in front of the place, and get the police to write up a report on it. Anyway, he must have hit so hard that it popped out my business card holder that I had thought I had lost. there was 9 dollars in it. They did not even give me my money back. So I paid 8 dollars to have my truck parked for 5 minutes and get it wrecked.
Someday I will learn. Also, that 03 Cobra is looking better and better.

Learned a while back that all that will happen after doing something like a knuckle sandwich is no good. The pleasure in doing it is momentary, but in this day and age, lawsuits are abound and I don't feel like having to deal with that kaka.
It's bad enough my rates may go up even though I was not in the truck when it happened. What a bunch of s$*t, you try to be honest and forthright and you get screwed. Aren't insurance companies great.

Just curious why you turned it into your insurance company.
Is PA a no-fault state? Which shouldn't matter, IMO since you weren't driving.
Did the resturaunt notify you that they were not responisible for damages before their employee drove the vehicle? Was there a sign in plain view?
I know we have a few insurance people on the board. What's the deal here...(not that I'd ever let a valet drive my truck).

last time i was at a restaurant with valet parking was my high school prom. when i pulled up, i asked the guy where their lot was and i parked it myself. my girlfriend and i then walked back to the restaurant where our friends were waiting for us (they let the valet take their car). the sad thing is that i still had to pay them. oh well.
I was there at Dave and Busters saturday night. I passed the valet parking signs like they were and import. It cost me 10 bucks to park but it appears to have been money well spent. Although my girlfriend did have to drive my lightning home that night due to and overstocking of coronas. Sorry about your truck hope it works out for you
Ugh. That is sad. Sorry to see your bad luck.
I'll admit it, I have valeted the L a few times, but never had a problem. I am upfront with the guy that I am a little **** about it, and if it looks like the valet is strung out on drugs, well, I just keep driving.
Cherring - you ever been to one of the TALON meets?
