Question 92mm maf

Is Pro M's 92mm maf worth any HP for our L's especially 01's and 2's? Thought maybe someone here has tried it... thanks Jeff

Stay with our 90mm

I spoke with a company last week about this and they just recently dynoed a stock 90mm against the original pro-m 80 and the pro-m 92 and they found that the 92 made 8HP more than our stock 90mm and said for what it costs to buy it is not worth it and to stay with our stocker!

The GMS has only been available for a little over a month or so. They just went on sale at https://www.truckperformance.com I've been thinking about getting one; but, the ole checking account isn't gonna support another expenditure of that nature any time soon. Is it worth anything? I'd say it is. You may have to have a chip made for it on the dyno to make sure you're taking full advantage of it though. I'd like to know if someone has tried it yet, also.

Jeff, Sorry this has nothing related to the post. My computer crashed and I was not using my computer after I got the #3 pulley from you. I was wondering are you the person who sold me the #3 pulley and sent the pulley to Honolulu Hawaii??? If so I just wanted to thank you and say the #3 pulley is awesome and way better than the stock pulley it just seems that I am getting way more boost from my super charger. I have NGK Tr-6 plugs on order and Danny Swanson is reprogaming my chip again.

Many Thanks, djy

Funny, I've been talking directly with Granatelli Motorsports for over six months. They have been telling me no the whole time. They just recently added it to their web site and TruckPerformance.com only started selling them at about the same time. Sal told me that Pro-M and GMS were the same unit. Was he wrong? Just curious?

Kind of interesting that truck performance wants 397 for a 99/00 and 476 for a 01/02 Are they both 92mm?

GMS is just a branded Pro-M unit. It was done for name recognition. It works in selling product.

I dunno, but..........

Seems like I paid about 430 for mine. That was my first mod. It came with a print-out from Pro-M (I guess) that shows all this test data #'s (full page of stuff) - - it was tuned specific to my truck.

JeffsLightning,

Yeah, they're different sizes. The 99-00 have been out for a while. Here's a link to GMS's application guide. The two have different part #s, also.

I dont think the Pro M 80 or the ford 90mm are restricting our trucks. Danny Swanson uses the pro M 80 on his race car that makes over 600 hp and runs high 9's.

David, 3# pulley, huh? Did Ultimate Surfa beat you, or sumpin? You better get some Manley rods in that puppy, or your motor is going to be toast.
