Question Do I need a reburn?

Just picked up a "used" flipchip from a fellow lightning enthusiast here in the Dallas area, and have a quick question-

The code matches my L, however, he had it custom burned- he had a 90mm AF, and a 2 lb pully installed. My question would be, do I need to worry about reburning it to stock (although I will probably get the 90mm at some point) or will it not make that much of a difference?

I'm gripping to get it in, but don't want to do it if I won't see the improvement, or possibly screw something up-

TIA!

Chris

I would personally make a call to whatever tuner supplied the chip originally!

Thx Rhinoslug-

Yes, I figured that would be the brightest thing to do- but was looking for an answer after hours (too late to call now) so I'd know if I could put it in tomorrow-

Hmmmm. I'll see what I can dig up.

Thx guys-

I have the 90mm on it's way, so I guess technically, I have two choices- either get it reburned, or match the program- and pick up a 2#-

*Sigh*...guess I'll have to get the 2# now...

Ah, one quick thing- just in case the boss won't let me rush out and get the 2#, who's the "preferred" vendor for the reburn?

TIA

What brand chip is it? The tuners can only tune the brand chip that they own software for.

Give us the brand...and we can give you the choices.

The 2# pulley may not be an issue but the fuel that you can get and the 90 mm vs stock definently is.

If you get your 90mm MAS installed you should be ok. Running a stock pulley shouldn't hurt a thing. If I we're to buy a pulley I would go with a 3# or larger lower and leave that upper alone. I changed my lower by myself in about 30 minutes and its easy to go back to stock if I need to.

Thx, USAHooters-

The 90mm's on it's way, so I guess I'll give it a shot and see what happens-

Appreciate it!
