Question Bassani Cat Install

Looking to get my bassani on Friday and install on Saturday. Any tips on install/removal of the old cat would be appreciated. I read months ago it was necessary to spot weld the connections as the clamps are not enough.

Thanks

Took mine to local Muffler Man shop and had them put it on. He broke 2 clamps fast so he said he would weld it free. $100 bucks kinda high, but it looks great and have no trouble with it for 3 weeks now.

The hardest part for me was removing the stock exhaust. I had to make some small cuts. You do not have to weld anything. The fit is so damn tight, it could NEVER fall off.

I agree with Kid. The stock cat back on my truck didn't just slide off after I removed the clamps. The stock clamps actually pinched the tubing making it impossible for it to just slide off (think of an hour glass shape where it is narrow in the middle). I used a dremel and carefully cut a few notches so I could get it off. Once that was done, it was pretty easy.

Please read! There has been more than one occasion when guys on here have had the Basani cat back system come off while driving when they only used the clamps to install. A word to the wise; don't take the chance as it has happened before. Weld your system.
