Lightning Tuner....

Will this package be compatible with the '01 F150 Supercrew 5.4 Harley Davidson? What type of performance gains should expect with this package and an ATI Supercharger @ 9PSI? Thanks for the info.

preassebed built blocks

that sounds good sal. Be sure to post a price on those. Point exacty on the block and crank, why have your truck torn apart for weeks and pay for the machining..... By the way, last night your products page was down, don't know if there's trouble today. I'll check back in a few.

stock L crankshafts

my understanding is that the factory Lightning cranks are very, very good and will most likely handle 1,000 HP.

You can't properly balance the assembly without the flex plate , harmonic damper and pulley. Without those items, new or from the old engine, the balance job is worthless. So without purchasing those items along with the crank and the block you're no further ahead than pulling and building your own engine.. If you're going to get the assembly balanced than who gives a rats a$$ if the "substandard" Manley rods are off a little. That will be taken care of during the normal balance process anyway.

Hey, what a concept, instead of buying an extended warranty, invest in the short block. Mod the hell out of it, if it gets loose, put in the other and continue, then rebuild the one that is on the floor. The price of the block is almost the same as a 60,000 mile extended warranty.

Then there is a lot less stress about having to go to the dealer to get another pure stock block. That is, If they don't void that expensive warranty.

Doesn't matter, the process is exactly the same.. Whether your engine is externally or internally balanced you have to have every major componant that comprises the rotating assembly during the balance process. I've done many balance jobs on both types (external and exnternal).

What a concept! I was wondering whether I would have enough room in my garage for a spare motor, and then it hit me, my old coffee table is looking kind of ratty, maybe I should just park the extra block in my living room and lay a piece of glass on top. Errr, I don't think my esposa would go for it.

Yeah, a number of people have e-mailed me to inquire about it, but I have been too busy ****ing around with my headers to reply. Maybe I will take some pics tomorrow and post them in the classifieds. Then again, maybe I won't, procrastination is my middle name.
