Check out this site that was posted here before, it shows you how the S/C looks on the inside. See the Vac operated bypass on the side. This bypass passageway was designed for our S/C and sized for the stock pulley size, with a larger pulley the S/C is pumping more air than it needs and more than the by-pass can spill-back so the engine just has to eat it. The noise you are hearing is the rotors of the S/C pumping the extra air. I'm not real good at explaining these things so maybe someone else can tell us both more.

What are you going to do about it besides put the stock pulley back on. A chip wont help the size of the by-pass is what I'm saying. If your really worried about it keep your foot in it and by staying in the boost it will not make the noise. hehehe The only effects it should have is some heat is being generated by the overboost at idle and driving under a vac at slower speeds.

Thanks Usahooters just wanted to make sure was not doing any long term damage. But the turners said they can up idle rpm and open by-pass further with chip. Also I only have stock pulley on it but with my air box mod and adjustment of boost sillinode and the gatorback supercharger belt am around 11 psi at WOT.
Thanks for response.
