If I had more money, I would not have bought my truck!! I wanted a Z06 soooooooooo bad! This truck was my favorite in the price range. Congrats on the new car, what color did you get?

M3's are ok, Not to bad. If I was going to get rid of the L for something it would have to be a Z06 or a Viper though...

Talking

Sorry I lied. I told SVT that I love this thing (her name is Burra). I pointed out the minute details that bugged me, but basically said it was the shiznit. I know how to spell f$#@, bu the way. My second post was supposed to be sarcastic (sp) but i figured I would play along since no one caught it. Sorry to let all down. If I did trade for an M3 it would be blue.

Umm... if you wanted a car, why not buy one in the first place? The L fits a niche for many of us. We want/need a truck, but are used to going fast. If you weren't looking for something like that, then why buy one? Also, please don't start with the attitude, that is very unbecoming.

EDIT: DOH! You posted while I was typing.

If it was not for towing are travel trailer. I would be in a Vette hands down. But I have got a little of both worlds with the L. Bob

My post is a little misleading. Let me clarify. If I had the cash for an M3 conv. I'd likely get a Vette coupe and start modding. Twin turbo sounds nice.

ricekicker, Where did you get those numbers? M3--- 4.7 0-60 and 13.3 in 1320. They do make mods for those puppies, too.

A girlie car? Look who's driving the next Mustang you drive by. I don't think I've ever seen a female driving an M3. I know it happens.....I've just never seen it. 'Seen plenty in the passenger seat though.

I've seen female's driving M3's. I see about 3 or 4 M3's a day out here, and fewer L's. To be honest, the L get's my attention more than the M. The new M's are very boxy...

I'll admit that I don't see very many around here. I'm on the road a lot, also. I like the coupe better than the convertible anyway.

Lightning=Best bang for the buck around 30K

Z06=Best bang for the buck around 50K

I did not need nor want a truck, but then again I dont consider the L a truck. Especially since i will not use the bed for ANYTHING! It does not see rain, and it does not see snow, so it may as well be like the vette I want It is sure fast enough for me!!

I can honestly say that I like my L as much (or more) today than when I drove it off the lot. And that's saying a lot! With the snug top and bed rug I've got one hell-of-a trunk, I can see better in traffic and I can tow a boat (fast). If I wanted something better it would have to be Bentley.

This is a funny post but it brings out some interesting points of view.

I bought my L because it was a truck, to haul stuff (600 lb milling machine the other night), to tow with and to haul mulch, sod, dirt ect. I wanted to replace my 97 Lariat Supercab and the L fit the bill though I will admit I visited 3 or 4 Chevy stores after riding in my buds Z0-6, (if only they could handle a load of cinder blocks ). The L is also my daliy driver and will see around 20K miles this year, some quicker than others but it won't be pampered that's for sure. Overall I am happy with my choice and if the new engine rus as well as the old without all the oil smoke I will be estatic.
