Question OT- Mustang engines ?

Seeing that most of you guys in here with lightnings previously owned a mustang. Ok I pulled my motor apart out of my 93 cobra with 29,000 miles I found 1 cracked number 7 pistion and three of the others found busted rings etc. I am looking into a DSS short block to replace it but have heard bad and good about there engines and quality. Anyone with some advice that can steer me in the right direction would be very much appreciated. I run a Vortech T trim blower with all the goodies msd etc if this info helps. thanks!

personally I'd suggest www.keithcraft.com or possibly www.bennettracing.com.

DSS is similar to Coast High Perf, they are pretty good, but are more about volume than quality maybe?

I'm about a week away from ordering my engine kit myself (about $15,000 worth) I was planning a blown 351 stroker 393-408ci but now I am starting to consider a smaller twin turbo'd 331ci motor. looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 to 1000HP!

good luck.

later,
chris

I would go with the Keith Kraft also, I've heard nothing but good things about their motors. A 331 stroker sounds good with your blower combo.
