Q-Logic or Thunderform in L?

What does the thunderform sound like? Good hard and deep bass or just tight bass? I really want 12's and think the Q-logis boxes will fit fine. What do you think? I like hard bass but low bass as well....

Go with the 12"s. I've got the TForm with 2 10"s and it is tight, but can't handle much under 45Hz. It has good punch, and sounds good unless you really push it hard...I think the best option would be a custom box with 2 12"s, but the box volume and design would have to be right. 12"s with too small a box won't be any better than the 10"s.

ive had the thunderform for about 4 month already.

sounds Good.

Im either doing 2 kicker square 10'a in a ported box.

Or im doing 2 alpine type r 12" The box Is Little. I mean they say all u need to do is build a box that matches the size of the box its shipped in, And the sound nice and slam.
Airspace is about .90 sealed

Im also gonna be running a Rockford Bd1000 on the bass and a alpine amp for the highs with all Mb Quart

Gotta say the thunderform is hard to beat for fit and finish. The 6000's that come in there actually sound pretty damned good with a good sized amp, but substituting either the DNX polks, bostons or as i did the polk momo's makes a very big differance.

I would do the thunderform...

Brandon

PS i would NOT suggest teh powered version of the thunderform. I will post pics of its pathetic *** amp next week.

Anyone know where we I can get just a Thunderform box? No subs? The Q-logis truck boxes from crutchfield seem like they will work and that have exact specs for some nice Polk subs. This is 12in, I am going to go measure to see....

as i have built and designed countless systems for friends and myself, I decided against the thunderform and went with my own design. I used the 2 MTX 6000's that are present in the thunderform, and instead of a long singular box with two speaker holes, i made two single boxes, built out of 3/4in ply wood, fiberglass insulation, and expanding sealant, that fit perfectly b/c i measured. They also fit within 2 hundredths of a cubic foot the optimum capactity for the speakers. (mine are .73cubicfoot, rec. is .75cubicft). The amp sits nicely between them on a stand i made, and can be adjusted easily while driving. They hit much harded than the thunderform did, although they do sound ok. Too expensive though.
