What is this tire? Slick or Drag radial?? Is the 10.0 measurement tread or section width?

I sent them an e mail last week---no response

Not that tire but the #18215 is the one I am thinking of.

next week?

I called Hoosier in Indinia yesterday and talked with Faren, who
is the engineer in charge of this new slick Part # 18153.
The tire is on the build sheet, but not until the week of 2-11-02.
They will make at least 200 in this run, and the tires will be
available the week following.
I have been in constant contact with him for seveal months, so
I don't think he would be bull*****ting me.

Dot slick will be after the 28 x 10 x 16 drag slick. Probably another
month away according to the engineer I mentioned before.

Marc,

Do you know if the DOT Slick will be a radial?

Just ordered mine today. The DOT will be a Quick Time Style. A groved slick that is street legal. Not a Drag Radial like the Nittos.

Remember that IHRA and probably NHRA require a driveshaft loop with pure "Slicks". The class that I run at my strip requires a DOT tire so I will wait for the DOT version. Thank goodness it will be a slick with grooves like the MTET Streets. I have no faith in the drag radials. Now maybe Mickey Thompson will make a 28 X 16 MTET Street. I have great confidence in their tire.

Has anyone got any experience with Hoosier tires compared to the Mickey Thompson tires?

noelvm,

The Hoosier DOT's work well. They last alittle longer than the ET streets to. I am going to get the slicks for now. Once I wear them out ill get the DOT's...
