Thumbs down Server Problems?

I just clicked *New Thread* and it took over one minute to change screens where I could type this.

It's the same when I want to reply to a thread or posting. Granted, it's not ALWAYS this way but it "IS" too often!!! WAY TOO OFTEN!

This is crazy! I have a cable modem service and everything else is normally fast. I go through spells when I can't EVEN get into this forum, other times it's fast as lightning. What's up with that?

I know I've asked this question before but what gives here. If the software won't support us, lets get something better! I will support that! What about the rest of you guys?

I don't want to cause any problems but it seems like we already have one. And the Vendors,. . . I can't believe they aren't complaining.

Steve and Doug,

I know you guys are doing all you can. I hope this post helps your cause. If not, delete it now!

Its all about network traffic and how many people are accessing the server that this site is hosted on!

The server (dedicated, btw) is doing just fine right now, load is low, memory is plentiful. The slow response that you are experiencing is resulting from a bottleneck between you and the server, not the F150online server itself.

While the server has experienced its share of problems (and continues to do so) I can assure you that it's not the server in this case. The total combined downtime in the past two weeks has been less than one hour.

Sorry, but it's not that easy or trivial as you make is sound. The next forum option would have to be a product that is hosted by another company. Based on the size of these forums and the traffic they receive, the monthly cost would be in the thousands of dollars. If you think I am joking about that, do some research before posting a message of this nature.
