How many of you guys and gals have cut the cord on your L? I was lucky enough when I first got my L that when I went into a gas station, the attendent liked my truck and made me aware of the fact that the hanging gas cap creates little scratches in the paint . I obviously cut the cord right then and there. That was 6 months ago. Forgot all about it until my boss at work was complainig that on his 1999 Expedition he had scratches under his gas door. Something to think about if you have not done it already.
Also ,this is not for everybody but costcos has an aluminum jack. Only 37 lbs and 6 pumps to top. The jack is like the Winston cup jacks(for you straight line guys they are the colorful cars that turn left and for spike they also run 2 road coarses. LOL).The cost is $349. I know that sounds expensive but equivelent jacks cost $600. For guys that take there tires off a lot to clean or change at the track this jack is a god sent. Makes doing any job on the L 10 times easier and your not busting your hump moving around that 90 lb. Sear 3 ton jack.Sorry for long post but it is my last one as a junior(99) and I wanted to go out in style.
