I'm making two assumptions, can anyone let me know if I'm right/wrong?

1. They are bolt in, from the underside? If not, how do they mount?

2. They are not pre-painted.

They come ready to paint. The lower quote may have been for less prep. time. I'm just guessing on that one.

They attach with stainless bolts through the existing holes that the stock retainers once used. Total install time is about 30 minutes.

Thanks Tampa

I'd probably be interested in a group purchase, too.

30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What where you smoking that day rich?

I did mine in 15 minutes tops! jack up the rear end, pull off the old ones, install the new ones. Its easy.

I just got my steps for X-mas and they where $187.00 guys, but I got them painted for a large pizza and a six pack, so I made out good. You can't beat the look of them, bit I have to warn yout that when you get these, you going to have to get the roll pan alos cause now it looks goofy! I'm waiting for mine.

Joey:

YES, 30 minutes!

Takes me 15 minutes just to get a jack underneath it these days...

Still a decent mod that you can do on a lunch break.

Maybe you can still get your skinny girly arms under it. Whippersnapper biotch...

I get more compliments on those steps than almost any other mod.(until the polished blower). You guys can't go wrong for $175, IMHO.

Well, I just spoke with dave at the Ye old body shop and he wouldn't go any lower than $175. He said that he sells them to other dealers and if the dealers found out they were undersold, they wouldn't be happy. So if you want a set, fork over $175 and give him a call. The number is earlier in this post.

i do ask plenty of questions, im wary of any aftermarket after talking to some of my paint guys. i was trying to get them to paint an aftermarket hood, and they said that lots of aftermarket can be done very badly, and can need body work right out of the box. but as long as everyone else gives the thumbs up on them i'm gonna grab a set. thanks for the help.
