Question

Who did the chrome job? Are you happy with the results? Any problems or imperfections?

Thanks,
Edward

Yeah, who did the chrome wheel job? How much was it and how long did it take them? I am looking at possibly upgrading to chrome rims on my 2001 L this spring.

Chrome was provided by Santa Ana Wheel- Anaheim, CA

The quality is excellent for a cast wheel.
Cost was $500 for chrome & 4 new chrome center caps, plus freight $160 (from Illinois), plus labor to demount tires, remount tires, spin balance, chrome stems, etc. about another $140.
So plan on it costing you $800 or so.
It took about four weeks total, half of which was shipping time.
I believe they can cut the time by exchanging your wheels for a set already chromed.
I wanted my own wheels back, as they only had 5 miles on them when I sent them out, and I had a set of chrome 99 wheels I could drive on while I waited.
I don't have the number to Santa Ana here at work, but you can look it up on the internet.
Ask for Chase.

Bob did you do nitto's all the way around the truck?

How do you like them for the street driving compared to the F1's? I wonder if they make them in a 20"?

Looks sweet!

Thumbs up

Bob,
That looks great, how have you been? We have to hook up again sometime, go out for a couple of beers and look at some honeys. Have you been to JDM lately? I was there on Saturday and It was great to see all of them again, just wish I had more time to visit. Their dyno should be up and running soon, they have a huge hole in the floor for it. Anyway, I am going to do my best to get to as much of the events that I can this year and I hope to run into you at a few of them. Also, how did the Cobra come out, must be a fun ride with the blower and all.

Talk to you later.......
Bill

Bob,

I like those wheels. Now, don't make me look at your taillights all the time
