If I had to replace the pistons and rods, I would definatley NOT put the stock ones back in. Manley had great price on some rods and they should have some pistons out by mid feb. Both should hold up to 800 hp and they can even accomodate 1000 hp if you want. I would definatley check into this if I was to replace my pistons and rods.

i think you misunderstood me...i would be selling the stock rods a pistons to someone else and be putting in some manley rods and pistons(dont know from who yet). Manley is coming out with pistons in mid feb? How much? What do you mean when you say you can make them handle 1000hp if you want??

I don't think you would find anyone willing to purchase "stock" rods and pistons, for the simple reason that anyone replacing them would go to the stronger set. The best use for stock rods and pistons would be either be a stock motor or an artificial reef

I have been asked about selling my stock pistons, for what purpose i have no idea but i agree the rods are worthless for anything other than a dumpster.

Do what I am going to do. Take the stock rods and pistons and get them dipped in chrome for decoration. You can hang them on the wall or whatever.

You could always get some clock intrnals and L badges and make some cool Xmas gifts for you L friends, well at least 8 of them anyway. Just buy a block and crank, go aftermarket on the rest and get back to racing, only with 8 less worries.
